Hannah Morrison
Associate, Brabners
Hannah is an employment lawyer who specialises in advising clients in the recruitment sector. She handles a range of issues such as workplace matters (eg grievances and disciplinary procedures as well as discrimination matters) along with employment tribunal claims. She acts for a wide range of employers across a variety of sectors including hospitality, recruitment and logistics. She also drafts employment contracts and other policy documentation. In addition, Hannah specialises in advising clients on data protection issues in the employment context. Hannah has a solid background in contentious and non-contentious work and has drafted terms of business and other contractual documentation for recruitment clients and defended employers in complex tribunal cases. Hannah joined us in 2014 and is based in our Manchester office.
Samantha Garner
Consultant & Trainer
Samantha Garner is a well-established consultant and trainer in the world of SEN, Access Arrangements and Mental Health. Originally a music teacher, she has worked in the SEN arena for over 15 years and spent time in a large secondary school where she set up a specialist behaviour unit. After this time she qualified as a CBT therapist and child and adolescent counsellor. Sam has trained and consulted in the whole spectrum of educational establishments from PRUs to very prestigious private schools. She is a published author of several mental health support programmes and regularly writes for SEN magazines.
Tracy Dell
GP Practice Business and PCN Manager, trainer and consultant
Tracy has been employed as the Practice Business Manager at Plane Trees Group Practice since 2003 and has previously worked as a healthcare manager within secondary care and the voluntary sector. She also works freelance providing training, coaching, mentoring and management support services to Practice Managers, GP Practices, PCNs, CCGs, GP Federations and LMCs in all aspects of primary care. With a passion for workforce development and collaborative working, Tracy was a one of the key drivers in the formation of a successful eleven practice collaborative in Calderdale, development of the first Primary Care Home in Calderdale and is now the lead manager for the North Halifax Primary Care Network. Tracy is a trustee for Calderdale Carers Project, Inspiring the Future volunteer and is an advocate for improving the care our armed forces veterans receive in general practice. She recently completed the level 7 Diploma in Advanced Primary Care Management and is the current Primary Care Manager of the Year awarded by the National Association of Primary Care.
Elaine Mitchell
Locum Practice Manager and Consultant
Elaine has worked in General Practice for 17 years. She started off working as a 15 hour per week receptionist, and progressed to Phlebotomist, Healthcare Assistant, and Practice Manager. Elaine still also works part time as a locum Practice Manager and has a detailed understanding of the pressures and challenges that Practice Managers and their staff face on a daily basis. Elaine’s has a passion for IT and loves implementing new programmes such as Online Consultations, Ardens, Accurx. and GP Teamnet, to name but a few. She is also passionate about offering help and support to struggling practices. She is very keen to educate and help patients to make use of the numerous digital solutions which are now available to them, and to keep communications open with them so that they too understand what’s happening within their GP surgery.. Elaine loves to be a trouble shooter and is always up for a challenge!
Lee Jefcott
Partner, Brabners
Lee is an experienced employment lawyer who handles complex employment and HR-related issues for businesses and senior executives. He advises on highly sensitive matters such as board level terminations and business protection, including enforcing restrictive covenants, TUPE and business reorganisations. He also handles internal investigations including discrimination and whistleblowing cases and helps businesses implement HR policies and processes. Lee has a strong track record in both contentious and non-contentious work and has represented prominent employers at employment tribunals across the UK. In addition he advises businesses on industrial relations and dealing with trade unions. He also guest blogs for industry publication Personnel Today and has developed innovative training for businesses on people related matters. He is a freelance lecturer for BPP Professional Development. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and Eurolegal.
Nicki Rowland
Practice Management Consultant
In 2005, Nicki and her husband, a dentist, set up Perfect 32 Dental Practice in Beverley that won many industry and Chambers awards and the National Training Awards for the small employer over the years. Nicki herself won The Association of Administrators and Practice Manager’s (ADAM) Practice Manager of the Year award in 2011. More recently Nicki has been named in the Dentistry Top 50 of 2021 list. 3 years ago, Nicki set up her own practice management consultancy, compliance and training company, Practices Made Perfect. She offers many business services including compliance health checks to dental practices, GP practices and care homes. These assessments identify gaps in compliance and aid in setting remedial wheels in motion to support organisations pass their CQC inspections. Further services include full compliance set-ups and on-going compliance support and training. Nicki works in collaboration with many companies to deliver the best range of services to health and social care sectors. She is regularly a keynote speaker at industry events such as the British Dental Association Conference and BDIA Showcase.
